About MathyBit

MathyBit is a set of quick, no-nonsense calculators for everyday numbers: percentages, VAT, discounts, averages, loans, savings and BMI.

Every calculator shows the formula it uses and a worked example, so you can check the result and learn how to do it yourself.

The calculators run in your browser and nothing you enter is sent or stored. Results about money are estimates for guidance only and are not financial advice.

How we build our tools

• Free, with no sign-up. Open the page and use the tool. There are no accounts and no paywalls.
• Private by default. Tools run in your browser wherever possible. When a server is needed, we process what is required to answer your request and do not log or store it.
• Fast and focused. One job per tool, done well, on any device.
• Funded by ads. Ads keep the tools free. They sit in clearly labelled spaces and never between a tool and its result.

Who is behind MathyBit

MathyBit is made by Codebit, a small independent studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, that builds websites and apps. MathyBit is one of a family of small, free utility sites that share the same simple design and the same privacy principles.
